Last visited Sep 2020. Domaine Savary de Beauregard Languedoc gite offers a wonderful opportunity to stay on a working vineyard - you can see how the wine is produced and sample the product! The gite itself is practical, the setting is wonderful. If you are looking for a rural gite in Languedoc for up to 6 people, close to Pezenas and the beaches, then this could be ideal for you.
Perfectly placed for the Mediterranean, the nearest beaches can be reached in ten minutes and there are beautiful lakes, mountains and gorges within one hours drive. The Domaine is quietly situated some distance from the nearest road and there is plenty of space for relaxing with a book, walking or just lazing in the sunshine. The owner of the domaine, Christophe Savary de Beauregard, lives on site and his swimming pool is available for use by guests.
The area has many medieval towns and villages to visit including Pezenas, St. Guilhem-le-Desert and the old city of Carcassonne. The holiday resort of Cap dAgde has 14 kilometres of fine beaches and many attractions for children including Toonland; and the famous Aqualand; with it`s giant flumes and water slides. The region offers a wide selection of gastronomic specialities served with local wines. Meze which is only 10 minutes drive away, is a delightful little town with a wonderful harbour and lots of narrow winding streets. It is situated on the Bassin de Thau (the large inland lagoon connected to the Med) and is an important centre for oyster and mussel farming. Huge oyster beds are a local industry and seafood is available everywhere.

Just a short word to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Domain Savaury in the gite accommodation. Christophe and Robyn were more than welcoming , even Christophe went to the trouble of turning on the wood burner every day so we would have a warm cosy gite to come home to when we returned after a long day of sightseeing. They were at our beck and call if we needed them and the Domain was perfectly located within half hour drive of a lot of major tourist attractions. Also his wine went down very smoothly. All in all a wonderful weekend and will definitely return.
