A beautiful 1 bed sea view holiday rentals apartment in Menton, France. This spacious apartment overlooks the beach in the picturesque French Riviera resort of Menton. With the beach just a few metres away and the town a 5 minute walk, this apartment rental is very convenient for beach holidays in the Cote d'Azur.
There is no need to rent a car whilst you stay at this apartment. You can catch a bus or train straight from Nice airport to Menton (there is a train station and bus stop near the apartment building).

This lovely apartment on the sea front in Menton, is located on the first floor of a beautiful apartment building on the Promenade du Soleil. The building was formerly one of the earliest hotels in the town (Hotel Banastron) and the apartment is decorated with lovely old photos of the hotel. Inside, the apartment is spacious, light and airy.
- The lounge comes with 2 leather armchairs and a futon sofa (which can also fold out to provide and additional bed.
- There is a dining area, with table and 4 chairs
- A set of patio doors provide access from the living room to the long balcony which runs along the full length of the apartment.
- There is a small kitchen which is equipped with an electric hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle and coffee percolator. There are wall cabinets and shelves under the worktop for storing cooking utensils and food and the apartment is well-equipped with plates and cutlery.
The bedroom is located at the front of the apartment building and has the best views of the sea.
- The bedroom contains a double bed, a second fold-away double bed (concealed in an alcove) and a lounge area. Next to the lounge there is a bathroom with shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet.
Outside: the beach is just a few steps away and the lovely Promenade du Soleil is a great place to take an evening walk, with plenty of cafes and restaurants to stop at along the way. You can also enjoy a nice glass of wine on the balcony and look out to sea. The balcony is also large enough for a bit of sunbathing, with the hedge and trees providing plenty of privacy.
Free parking can be found on the neighbouring streets, or paid parking on the Promenade du Soleil next to the apartment building.

Menton is a wonderful coastal town on the French Riviera. For centuries, Menton has attracted visitors on account of its micro-climate and it still remains one of the sunniest towns in France. Menton is located just a few kilometres from the Italian border and during it´s history, it has been under both French and Italian (Sardinia) rule. The town is famous in France for the production of lemons and citrus fruits and there is a marvellous Lemon Festival held in the town each year (usually late February). The French artist and film producer, Jean Cocteau, stayed in Menton for a long period of his life and there is an excellent museum in the town dedicated to him.
Menton is a fantastic place to stay all year around. It has a good range of beaches in the lovely bay. The town has an excellent market, lots of good restaurants and cafes and the old town is a great place to walk around. Menton is also famous for its impressive gardens and there are 7 main gardens to visit.
There is always something going on in Menton and you should not miss the Christmas festival, Lemon festival in February, Tango festival in July and Classical Music festivals in July and August. Menton is also an excellent spot to stay in during the near-by Monte Carlo Grand Prix.
Menton is a great base for exploring the French & Italian Rivieras. Monte Carlo is just 10 mins by train. Villefranche-sur-Mer has a lovely bay and great beaches. Nice is 20 mins by train and has some first class museums and art galleries. San Remo in Italy is well-worth visiting, as is the glorious coastal resort of Antibes in between Nice and Cannes.
Other transport
The TGV reaches the Cote d´Azur in just under 5 hours (Nice train station). From Nice, you can take a local train to Menton. There is a train station very close to the apartment building. Alternatively, there is a bus service direct from Nice Airport to Menton, which stops very close to the apartment.

The apartment is located on the Promenade du Soleil. The Promenade becomes the D6007 outside of Menton, which is the main coastal road to Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Monaco, Nice and the Italian border. The A8 autoroute can be reached within 15-20 mins. This is the highway that crosses the Cote d´Azur and into Italy.
