The Watchtower is a 2 bed Duplex apartment for rent located within Château de Savignac-le-Haut, close to Beziers in South France. The apartment comes with a large terrace with stunning views over the local countryside. Château de Savignac is built around a 12th Century Watchtower and the main parts of the castle walls date back to the 17th Century.
The Chateau provides easy access to the Mediterranean beaches (20-25 mins), Beziers airport and the Languedoc vineyards.

You approach the apartment through a stone archway into a large courtyard, containing the ancient Watch tower and crenelated castle walls. The apartment is laid out over 2 floors. The apartment comes with Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
Ground floor
- You enter the apartment into the entrance hall which is fitted with a large antique sideboard and a long dining table. There is also a Guest toilet and a cupboard containing the washing machine.
- There is a dining room beyond the entrance hall. The dining room provides access out onto the terrace through large patio windows.
- The kitchen is fully equipped and comes with an oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and plenty of cooking utensils.
- The spacious lounge comes with a working fireplace, large sofa, book cases and a table and chairs. The lounge has a large set of patio doors which open out onto the terrace.
- There is a shower room located under the mezzanine floor (Bedroom 2) which comes with a large walk-in shower and wash basin.
First floor
- Bedroom 1 is reached by its own separate staircase from the entrance hall. The bedroom comes with a double bed, fitted wardrobe and en suite bathroom. The room has exposed stone walls, original beams and beautiful views. The bathroom comes with a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.
- Bedroom 2 is located on a mezzanine floor above the living room. It comes with 2 single beds (which can be joined together to form a King size double bed). There are electric blinds (with black out material). There is a WC.
Outside
- There is private parking for 2 cars.
- The large terrace comes with panoramic views over the local countryside. The terrace has a two patio tables with chairs.
- The Chateau is surrounded by 1.5 hectares of woodland.

What a stunning place to spend a vacation in Southern France. This property can comfortably accommodate two couples or a small family. Inside the apartment is very spacious and you will never tire of the views from the terrace. Château de Savignac is conveniently located close to Beziers (for the airport, TGV and motorway) and provides easy access to the Mediterranean beaches, Languedoc vineyards and stunning countryside of the Black mountains nearby.

Château de Savignac-le-Haut is a former Watchtower once owned by the Abbey of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières. Parts of the building date back to the 12th, 13th and 17th Centuries. The Chateau is surrounded by 1.5 hectares of woodland and provides total peace and tranquillity.
The Chateau is just a short drive to the village of Cazouls-les-Beziers, which provides a good range of local services such as supermarkets, restaurants, boulangeries, a florist, butcher and pharmacy.
The nearby city of Beziers provides all the shopping and services that you will need. Beziers has an international airport, TGV train station and 2 motorways pass close-by, which provide fast routes up to Paris and Lyon and down to Perpignan and Spain. The Mediterranean beaches are just 10 mins from Beziers, with some of the more popular beaches including Vias Plage, Serignan Plage and Valras Plage.
The Languedoc is the largest wine region in the World and nearby you will find excellent vineyards in Saint Chinian, Faugeres and the Minervois.
Other transport
There is a TGV train station in Beziers, with services to Barcelona, Paris, Marseille and Toulouse.
There is a regular bus service between Cazouls-les-Beziers and Beziers.
Airports
Beziers airport provides regular cheap flights to Paris, Brussels and the UK. Within 1 hour's drive there are a further 4 airports with services throughout the year (Perpignan, Carcassonne, Montpellier and Nimes).

Cazouls-les-Beziers is located on the D14 main road, which runs from Beziers up to Saint Chinian.
