A set of steps from the Garden room takes you out to the swimming pool. The pool is 10m x 5 m, It is equipped with a pool alarm system and has a roll on pool cover. The pool can be heated at a charge of £50 pw (useful in May, early June,and late September time). A large paved terrace surrounds the pool with 8 sun loungers and parasols. Adjoining the pool is a storeroom with many outdoor games and toys, as well as a shower room with shower, toilet and hand basin. The garden comes with a lawn, mature trees, floodlit boules pitch, swings, table tennis, beautiful outdoor table for 14 and brick built barbecue. The garden has an automatic watering system which comes on every evening. The drive way has electric security gates and there is private off-road parking for 3-4 cars.
The prices for this large villa in South France to rent are weekly and include linen, towels and end of stay cleaning. In high season, Saturday to Saturday rentals are preferred.

Although located on the edge of the village, you honestly feel that you are in the middle of the country with crickets chirping and total silence.
Villa Les Ecureuils is located on the edge of the small town of Montagnac. Montagnac has everything you need during your stay: shops, banks, a wine cave, cafes and bars, a weekly market and on the edge of town, the largest wine cooperative in France. If you are visiting without a car everything you need is at hand, and there is a good bus service to surrounding areas.
Montagnac is a 3 minute drive from the historic town of Pezenas, with its beautiful old centre filled with winding street, antique dealers and many restaurants and art shops. Fifteen minutes to the south brings you to wonderful Mediterranean beaches and north are the l`Herault mountains with caves, rivers and scenic drives. To the South and West there is Carcassonne and the Cathar fortresses and eventually Spain. In the east explore Provence with all its history, and on to the Riviera. There are many chateaus in the area where you can taste and enjoy the Languedoc wines.
Local markets: On Friday morning there is a lovely food market in the square in Montagnac. Pézenas also has a fantastic market on Saturdays, which shouldn’t be missed. Clermont-Herault has an excellent market on Wednesday morning with lots of craft stalls. Mèze market is on Thursday and Sunday morning.
Restaurants: In Montagnac you can eat in the square at the Brasserie de Sport (very reasonably €20 a head), and soak up the local atmosphere, plus walk home! There is also an excellent French restaurant, Le jardin d’Helena which is very reasonably priced and only 5 mins walk. If you fancy take out pizza, there are two pizzerias in the town. A short drive to the Domaine Paul Mas just outside Montagnac will reward you with excellent wines and a lovely restaurant. If you like seafood head for Bouzigues, on the Etang de Thau, a big oyster producing area. Many of the Fishermen run restaurants there and the Jardin de la Mer and La Palourdière are excellent.
Beaches: The nearest beach is located at Meze, on the shores of the Etang de Thau, a salt water lake separate from the Mediterranean sea by a thin strip of land. Other beaches to try include Marseillan Plage and the beaches stretching between Marseillan and Sete.
There is a TGV train station in Montpellier. There is a regular bus service in between Montpellier and Montagnac.

Wonderfully relaxing large villa perfect for an extended family holiday. Plenty of space, well equipped, easy walking to centre of village (restaurants, shops and events), lovely pool, plenty of shade and sunshine, well looked after but not `too precious`, flood-lit boules. Taxis in the area have to be pre-booked and no Uber

25% deposit (non refundable) at time of reservation, balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. £500 security deposit. A mid-stay clean can be arranged with the property manager if required.
Check in after 16.00 on day of arrival. Check out before 10.00 on day of departure.
