Le Marandou is easily accessible via the airport in Carcassonne and is a good base for exploring the famous castle in Carcassonne (the second most visited historical monument in France) and regional sites such as the ancient towns of Mirepoix, Minerve and the Cathar castles. The Mediterranean beaches are 50 mins drive.
This secluded farmhouse is located just outside the village of Labastide d'Anjou in the Occitanie region of the South of France. The farmhouse is perfectly laid-out for a large family or a group of friends holidaying in the South of France.

This large farmhouse is laid out over 2 floors:
Ground floor
- The kitchen is fully equipped and leads out to a covered archway terrace, ideal for outdoor dining.
- There are two living rooms both equipped with comfortable sofas, an open fireplace and a TV.
- Bedroom 1 is fitted with a double bed and a large wardrobe and bedside cabinets.
- Bedroom 2 has twin beds.
- There is are two bathrooms. Bathroom 1 comes with a bath, shower cubicle and double sinks. There is a separate WC. Bathroom 2 has a shower and toilet.
- The games room is equipped with a pool table, sofas, a TV and books/games.
- There is a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer and fridge/freezer
First floor:
- Bedroom 3 comes with a double bed and views over the front garden
- Bedroom 4 has twin beds
- Bedroom 5 is a large Master bedroom with double bed and an en-suite bathroom (with shower and WC)
- There is also a family bathroom on this floor with a bath, shower cubicle and double sinks
Outside:
- Private swimming pool 10m x 5m

Le Marandou provides total peace & quiet - surrounded sunflower and wheat fields in each direction. The house comes with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and the large kitchen, 2 living rooms and games room provide plenty of space for guests of all ages. Nearby you will find restaurants, the Canal du Midi and Carcassonne Castle on your door step.

The house is located just outside the beautiful village of Labastide d'Anjou. In the village you will find a celebrated restaurant, shops, a pharmacy, boulangerie and post office.
The nearby town of Castelnaudary offers a full range of shops and services. The town is famous for Cassoulet, a slow-cooked casserole made from white beans, duck and pork. Castelnaudary was the main port on the Canal du Midi which gave the town a period of great prosperity in the 17th century. The Grand Bassin in the town is the largest open area of water on the canal, and is today its major pleasure port.
The medieval town of Revel is a very pretty place. The main square has a beautiful covered market hall topped by a bell tower and is lined with old town houses.

The area is ideal for walks and cycling trips through the beautiful countryside. The surrounding countryside features vineyards, sunflower fields and the tree-lined Canal du Midi.

There is a train station in the nearby town of Castelnaudary, with train services to Carcassonne, Narbonne and Toulouse.
